GitHub Starred Repos API questions

How do I see which repositories a GitHub user starred?

Send the username. Each starred repository comes back with its owner, description, language and star and fork counts, up to 10 per call; send the nextCursor from the response back as cursor for more.

What can starred repositories tell me?

Stars show the tools and topics a developer is interested in. Developer tool companies use them to see which tools a prospect already uses or follows.

How do I get every repository a user has starred?

Each call returns up to 10 repositories and a nextCursor. Send it back as cursor to get the next page; it is null when there are no more.

How do I use the GitHub Starred Repos API?

Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/github/list-starred with username in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header. In the TypeScript SDK, call client.github.listStarred(). AI agents connected to Bridgly over MCP can call the github_list_starred tool.

How much does the GitHub Starred Repos API cost?

Costs 1 credit per request. Credits cost $2.00 per 1,000 on pay-as-you-go and as low as $1.00 per 1,000 at volume. New accounts on a business email start with 100 free credits, and failed requests are never charged.
