LinkedIn Profile API questions

How do I scrape a LinkedIn profile from its URL?

Send the slug after /in/ in the profile link as memberIdentity, for example williamhgates from linkedin.com/in/williamhgates. You get the name, headline, location, about section, work history, education, skills, certifications, languages and projects as JSON.

Does the LinkedIn Profile API return email addresses or phone numbers?

No. It returns what the profile shows publicly, and LinkedIn does not show contact details publicly. If you need an email, pass the name and current company to an email finder.

Can I use it to enrich leads in my CRM?

Yes. Store each lead’s LinkedIn URL, call the endpoint with its slug, and write back the current title, company, location and work history. A profile that does not exist returns a 404 and costs nothing.

How do I use the LinkedIn Profile API?

Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/linkedin/get-profile-from-url with memberIdentity in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header. In the TypeScript SDK, call client.linkedin.getProfileFromUrl(). AI agents connected to Bridgly over MCP can call the linkedin_get_profile_from_url tool.

How much does the LinkedIn Profile API cost?

Costs 1 credit per request. Credits cost $2.00 per 1,000 on pay-as-you-go and as low as $1.00 per 1,000 at volume. New accounts on a business email start with 100 free credits, and failed requests are never charged.
