What does the TikTok Comments API return?

TikTok comments API: list the comments on any public TikTok video by ID, with text, likes, reply count, author and whether the creator liked or pinned it. Every response has the same envelope: the result in data, plus timeMs and the creditsCost of the call.

Request body

cursorstring: The previous response's `nextCursor`, to fetch the next page. Omit it for the first page.
videoIdstringrequired: Post ID, the number at the end of the post URL, or the post URL itself, for example "7698770783367171359" or "https://www.tiktok.com/@tiktok/video/7698770783367171359".
countinteger · 1–20 · default 20: Number of results to return (1–20). Defaults to 20.

It returns top-level comments with their reply counts. Use the comment replies endpoint to list the replies to a comment.

How do I collect a conversation rather than just top-level comments?

Start with this endpoint and keep the comment IDs alongside their reply counts. For a comment with replies, send its ID and the video ID to the Comment Replies API. Store the parent comment ID with each reply so your analysis preserves which message it answers.

How do I use the TikTok Comments API?

Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/tiktok/get-video-comments with videoId in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header. In the TypeScript SDK, call client.tiktok.getVideoComments(). AI agents connected to Bridgly over MCP can call the tiktok_get_video_comments tool.
