Request body
querystringrequired- The text to search Reddit for, e.g. "openai", "best keyboard".
subredditstring- Restrict the search to a single subreddit (name with or without the "r/" prefix). Only applies to post search.
sortenum- Result ordering. Defaults to "relevance".
- relevance | hot | top | new | comments
timeenum- Restrict results to a recent window. Defaults to "all".
- hour | day | week | month | year | all
cursorstring- The previous response's `nextCursor`, to fetch the next page. Omit it for the first page.

Reddit Comment Search API questions
How do I search Reddit comments for a keyword?
Send the keyword as the query, sorted by new if you want the latest. Each comment comes back with its text and link, and the title and subreddit of the post it was left on.
Why search comments instead of posts?
Most product opinions on Reddit are in comments, not post titles. Searching comments for a brand or an “alternative to” phrase finds the recommendations and complaints that post search misses.
How do I get more than 10 comments from a Reddit search?
Each call returns up to 10 comments and a nextCursor. Send the same query with it as cursor to get the next page; it is null when there are no more results.
How do I use the Reddit Comment Search API?
Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/reddit/search/comments with query in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header. In the TypeScript SDK, call client.reddit.searchComments(). AI agents connected to Bridgly over MCP can call the reddit_search_comments tool.
How much does the Reddit Comment Search API cost?
Costs 1 credit per request. Credits cost $2.00 per 1,000 on pay-as-you-go and as low as $1.00 per 1,000 at volume. New accounts on a business email start with 100 free credits, and failed requests are never charged.
