What does the LinkedIn Experience API return?

LinkedIn experience API: get every position on a LinkedIn profile, with title, company, logo, employment type, location, dates and description. Every response has the same envelope: the result in data, plus timeMs and the creditsCost of the call.

Request body

startinteger: Number of results to skip. Defaults to 0.
publicIdstringrequired: The member public identity, or the profile link itself, e.g. "williamhgates" or "https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates".
countinteger · 1–100 · default 10: Number of companies to return (1–100), each with every position held there. Defaults to 10.

How do I get the full work history of a LinkedIn profile?

Send the slug after /in/ in their profile link as publicId. Each position comes with its title, company, company link and logo, employment type, location, start and end dates and description.

Why are positions grouped by company?

LinkedIn groups the roles someone held at the same company. count sets how many companies come back in one call, and every position at each of them is included.

How do I get the rest of a long work history?

Send the nextStart from the response back as start to get the next page, and repeat until nextStart is null.

How do I use the LinkedIn Experience API?

Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/linkedin/get-profile-experience with publicId in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header.
