Subreddit Search API questions

How do I find subreddits about a topic?

Send the topic as the query, for example mechanical keyboards. Each subreddit comes back with its name, description, weekly visitors and contributions, icon and link.

How do I choose which subreddits to market in?

Search your category and compare weekly visitors, then read each candidate’s rules with the Subreddit API and its top posts with the Subreddit Posts API before you post.

How do I get more than 10 subreddits from a search?

Each call returns up to 10 subreddits and a nextCursor. Send the same query with it as cursor to get the next page; it is null when there are no more results.

How do I use the Subreddit Search API?

Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/reddit/search/communities with query in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header. In the TypeScript SDK, call client.reddit.searchCommunities(). AI agents connected to Bridgly over MCP can call the reddit_search_communities tool.

How much does the Subreddit Search API cost?

Costs 1 credit per request. Credits cost $2.00 per 1,000 on pay-as-you-go and as low as $1.00 per 1,000 at volume. New accounts on a business email start with 100 free credits, and failed requests are never charged.
