Subreddit API questions
How do I get a subreddit’s subscriber count?
Send the subreddit’s name, with or without r/. The response has the subscriber count along with the title, description, creation date, icon, banner, posting settings and rules.
Can I read a subreddit’s rules before posting there?
Yes. The rules come back with the subreddit’s details and posting settings, so a tool can check a post against them before it is submitted.
How do I use the Subreddit API?
Send a POST request to https://api.bridgly.app/reddit/get-subreddit with subreddit in the JSON body and your API key in the Authorization header. In the TypeScript SDK, call client.reddit.getSubreddit(). AI agents connected to Bridgly over MCP can call the reddit_get_subreddit tool.
How much does the Subreddit API cost?
Costs 1 credit per request. Credits cost $2.00 per 1,000 on pay-as-you-go and as low as $1.00 per 1,000 at volume. New accounts on a business email start with 100 free credits, and failed requests are never charged.
