What is the Reddit Comment Viewer?
Reddit threads hold some of the most candid opinions on the web, but long ones are slow to read and awkward to save. This viewer loads a post from its link and lists the post with its top-level comments, each with the author, the score and the time it was written.
Every comment is returned as structured data, so a thread can be copied as JSON and passed to a spreadsheet, a script or an AI model for summarizing.
What people use it for
Summarize a thread with AI
Copy a long discussion as JSON and ask ChatGPT or Claude for the main opinions and where people disagree.
Research customers
Collect what people say about a product, in their own words, from the threads where they discuss it.
Save a discussion
Keep a copy of a useful thread before comments are edited, removed or the post is deleted.
Get Reddit data through the API
This tool runs on the Bridgly Reddit API. Call /reddit/get-post from your own code to get the same data as JSON, with no limit on how often you run it.
/reddit/get-post
curl -X POST "https://api.bridgly.app/reddit/get-post" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $BRIDGLY_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "url": "https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/1abc234/post_title/"}'Reddit Comment Viewer FAQ
How do I view the comments of a Reddit post without logging in?
Paste the link of the post at the top of this page and press View comments. The post and its comments are shown with their scores and authors, with no Reddit login.
Can I export Reddit comments?
Yes. After a thread loads, use the Copy JSON button to copy the post and every loaded comment as structured data.
Does it show deleted or removed comments?
No. Comments that were deleted by their author or removed by moderators are no longer available from Reddit, so they appear as deleted or removed.
Does it work with old.reddit.com and share links?
Links from www.reddit.com and old.reddit.com both work, as long as they contain /comments/ followed by the post ID.
Is the Reddit Comment Viewer free?
Yes. The Reddit Comment Viewer is free to use with no sign-up, no credit card and no browser extension to install. You only complete a quick check that you are human.
Is there a limit on how many times I can use it?
Each free tool allows a handful of runs per hour and per day from the same network, which keeps it fast for everyone. A free Bridgly account removes the limit and starts with 100 credits.
Can I get this data through an API?
Yes. This tool runs on the Bridgly Reddit API. The /reddit/get-post endpoint returns the same data as JSON, and is also available through the TypeScript SDK, the CLI and an MCP server for AI agents.
